I think this is helpful because everything should constantly go back to branding. It can be hard to explain to somebody who just wants to see results and doesn't want to think strategically, but you have to in order to be successful at any type of marketing. Thanks for sharing!
Yes! Everything should ladder back to branding. It’s the lens through which we make all our marketing decisions. The toughest part is showing how brand strategy IS performance just measured on a longer timeline. Appreciate you seeing the value in this!
Ahh, that is very insightful! I do struggle a lot with trying to get others to see the bigger picture, the long term impacts/outlooks. Branding is the long game, marketing is the pieces to get us there. Really interesting way to look at it and will definitely come in handy!
It's hard to get buy-in for a long game mindset, especially if your manager has never seen it be done before. Love how you phrased it: marketing is how we build toward the brand’s bigger picture.

Totally fair to point out the Marketing Mix! But I see this graphic more as a modern lens—one that views branding as the core driver of strategic differentiation, not just a piece of promotion. Branding today isn’t just a tactic, it’s the why behind every decision in marketing, from messaging to channel to experience. It’s more existential than executional.
