Hello fellow person in the same position where I had been a few years back,
BONUS NAHI MILEGA. NO MATTER WHOEVER SAYS WHAT.
I don't know the full story, so I am not taking any sides. But want to explain this from other side.
I am a manager. We have been asked to provide 10% SI, 20% Differentiating, 60% Progressing and 10% NI.
If the basic hygiene factors are not met (utilisation, feedback rating, training hours and badge) are not met, you definitely won't get SI, even if the manager recommends it, the HR will push back.
If you were a really good employee and met most of the requirements mentioned above - and most importantly, better than your peers, you might get Diff.
But in most of the cases all your peers would have completed all requirements, even if they have average client feedback, they might be rated above you; as you didn met the basic criteria.
I had to rate an exceptional Senior as progressive as his utilisation was two points lower because of the push back - I was having calls with HR at 11 in the night arguing on the last day. I know how hard the push back is.
If you are not happy and have an offer, please feel free to move and be happy. That's the most important thing. You shouldn't regret staying.

When EY went away with ratings few years back, it was mentioned that Bell curve won't be followed. It doesn't look like they are actually following this .. It was just a gimmick then 😂😂
Badge is one of the KPI, in order to get good rating. Just serving the client well in EY will not fetch you good rating. Visibility outside project is important and meeting all KPI is must.

Pls be thoughtful before you take any rash decision… working 24*7 is not a yardstick the leadership considers while rating an individual so unfortunately that disappoints a lot of hard working ppl… but i would advice you to not resign without having any offers in hand..

To decrease the VPB payout are they intentionally doing something like this?
By blaming us in a covert way to achieve financial profit?

They’re crying out in town halls about attrition during last FY. They adjusted with some mid-year hike.
But they keep on doing like this means, they intentionally don’t want people to stay more than 2 years.
I’m not even bothering about hike/bonus. How can they dictate my performance as low, it’s completely demotivating employee like me.
I would’ve been happy even if they don’t give bonus but with higher rating.
It's Bell curve.. all large organisations follow it. Without it, you cannot standardise anny appraisal process.

I don’t have any issues with the bell-curve.
They can play anything with designations/promotions with that bell-curve.
But why is it playing a role in feedback of an employee? You can just simply provide honest feedback/rating and explain the same bell-curve thing to them. Instead they’re de-motivating us to do less work in the name of default rating. Or is it expected from organisation itself?

You will certainly get the bonus. But if you are not thinking with a matured mind around why you got a lesser than expected rating, then I am not surprised that there will be a repeat in your next workplace too. Rating is a culmination of multiple factors including KPIs, objective scoring and stack ranking. Even after you were flawless you may not get SI just because someone else was slightly better. So think wisely before you take the call.
I got differentiating but no promotion. I kinda knew it and resigned before. Now they are doing meeting after meeting asking me to stay. They coudve given a promotion and I would have but they didn't.
