Internal, Remote, Minimum travel

Small consulting firm Principal DS (Partner): 240k-280k TC (bonus vary) with 200k base , 10,000 shares equity ( no idea how much worth) , lead and managing a team.
~70 consultants, 10 partners focus on DS and analytics consulting. Remote with some travel.

TC and title better in a small firm, but any point I should consider?

I got offer from persistent with 31lpa.
But most of the compensation they added into skill bonus-1400000. Due to that my basic salary is low- 50k as compared to my cctc basic salary, which is 63k with 19.5lpa.
Is it normally happening with everyone joining to persistent?
Can Persistent increase basic salary component and reduce the skill bouns?
I asked hr to increase my basic, but she mentioned that it’s system generated and standard format, vary cmpny to cmpny.

Last week I had to explain to my child what “politics” (as in office politics) is. My child is going to a new high school and wants to play volleyball. There was a 3 day open “tryout” for incoming freshman for 2 teams. After the first day, she noticed that
