I recently came across ads for "Shef," a service where you can order freshly homemade meals prepared by local individuals who sign up as Shefs. It’s different from HelloFresh because instead of raw ingredients, you get fully cooked meals delivered to your home on a weekly basis. As someone juggling a busy schedule with work and families, this sounds like it could be a great time-saver! Has anyone here in the tried or heard about Shef or similar services? Currently I make a base of $63k/yr and $1k/mo in bonuses pre-tax. I manage a performance for a team of licensed insurance agents (service-based role in a direct business environment), maintain our business relationships, and support adhoc training needs. Is there anyone else in this type of role who is able to share how this compares to similar positions and your general location?

I recently gave my two week notice and will be joining a good firm.
While having drinks with my colleagues today one of them says “you’re not a citizen. Stop taking American jobs.” I am an immigrant yes, but I have a graduate degree from one of the target schools and have worked my a*$ off to be where I am. I laughed it off then but now I regret letting it go that easily.
