Has anyone without any financial experience taken the CFA? I work in a different industry and I want to take the CFA in order to get hired into a bank. Has anyone done it?

You don't need to have a financial background, but it could help you a lot, since the terminology and operations of the topic are very advanced financially. I haven't take it but I have experience with the topic and received feedback from Charter holders. My recommendation would be to take the "Investment Industry Fundamentals Certification" at the CFA institute. It will give you a strong understanding of the industry and could be the best base for you to jump into the CFA program. Review the prerequisites and good luck!

Hi,
I need some career guidance.
I have 6+ yoe in business intelligence(Qlik), SQL. Self taught python up to oops/pandas/re.
What's the best direction to take my career forward and transition into a better domain if possible?
Should I do some DS/ML or cloud(azure/gcp) courses? If yes, suggest some.
I get calls for python but they demand scraping & webdev(selenium/bs/django/flask) which I have no interest in.
Can someone guide?
Also, what are the best BI roles I can go for & how?
Thanks

Would love to get insight into the level of attrition that you see at PE firms.

How many new analysts/associates can I expect for a GE fund to hire each year? I understand each firm/office has varying needs, but I'm struggling to wrap my head around why anyone would even consider T2 consultants, even at the consulting-friendly shops.

Not enough MBB consultants interested in PE to fill all the ex-consultant spots? Personal goal is to build a fighting chance to exit into GE or MM PE

My new role and future career aspirations are finance / computer engineering hybrid. Current employer is in private banking.
