I recently hit senior in public and decided it was finally time to exit. In school, they make it sound like a senior title is a golden ticket to any industry job you want. Instead, I’m being told I’m not qualified because I haven't worked in-house before. I feel like I followed the career roadmap perfectly just to hit a dead end. Is a PA background not enough anymore?

My H1b is up for renewal in Jun 2022, can I switch jobs before renewal and what does the new company have to do? If they're transfering my H1b do they need to apply for renewal as well? Or would it be recommended to wait until the renewal?

Hey Guys, I have applied to Accenture through their Accenture India portal and it's still showing pending review and my interview hasn't been scheduled yet. as I checked found out that pending review means the Application has been passed from HR to the operations team what should I do now as it's been more than 4 weeks and I haven't received any response from them and there is no way to contact them.i am getting a little frustrated about this

Out of curiosity. How would a company view a potential candidate who has a period of unemployment to study for the CPA. I am considering to start studying for the exam but I know I would need to leave my employer in order to give 110%. I am contemplating the idea of at least passing one part while employed. Currently I am 1 year in as a senior associate at a top 5 firm and making less than 80k. I do not have my CPA yet but working at it. I have 3 exams left to pass.

been in industry (small companies) for 5 years with an active CPA. Wanted to get in SEC reporting roles but almost every company requires 2-year public accounting exp. Now applying for public accounting firms entry level positions but almost all firms HR asked if I had ever worked in firms. Got rejection emails from firms all the time. Is this a dead lock? firms exp matters much more than a CPA license?
