I still have a job, at least for the time being. I have zero faith in the veracity of any report being put out by the government. I don't care what they say. When every post I see on here is talking about how hard it is to find work, I have a very hard time believing this is true.
I'd really like to hear where they are actually getting their statistics from, because it doesn't seem possible that the employment economy is so good and there are so many people without work. I personally know nearly a dozen people who are seeking employment, both within my industry and outside of it.
Making a jobless claim for unemployment and being unemployed/under employed are 2 completely different things. Depending on your state unemployment only lasts for so many weeks before you no longer get any unemployment benefits, so there would be no reason to keep putting in claims. What it could mean is that more people are seeing long term unemployment longer than what the state allows for claims for unemployment benefits.
Or they start getting paid somewhere because they take whatever is available and quit waiting for something with perfect pay and bennys! People are lazy and prideful if they let their kids go hungry because they won’t do real work to feed them.
When I was a kid my dad took a job cleaning a diner late night and made food for us and brought it home and woke me up at 2-3am to eat for the day!
Feed your family clean a toilet and take a second job to make the extra money till you get that perfect job!
Many people are underemployed, working multiple part time jobs, or have given up and are trying to be influencers. This is why the numbers are skewed.

I have been able to get jobs for several people the past couple weeks. Can’t be picky and take what is there and try for better jobs while you are getting paid by someone!
