I spent an hour trying to explain to finance why hiring someone two months later isn't actually saving us money.

Delayed recruitment doesn't just save salary, it creates stress, burnout, and turnover.

How do you get non-HR teams to see the full picture?

As in needing to hire somebody, but they want to wait to save money? Just prolonging the cost and creating a lot more issues along the way that will cost even more down the road. I would describe it as short-term savings for long-term losses.

Exactly this. It ends up costing more in burnout, mistakes, and staff turnover. Short-term saving sounds smart on paper, but teams feel the strain fast—and that’s harder to fix.

Delayed recruitment can really set a company back, affecting team morale and productivity. It’s frustrating when employers don’t see the bigger picture.

Morale dips, good staff start looking elsewhere, and productivity tanks. All for the sake of saving one salary. It’s such a backwards move in the long run.

General corporate in NY looking to lateral into tech transactions at one of the EC/VC firms. I’ve heard that I may get a class cut if I make the move but I’m ok with that. My worry is that EC/VC firms are crazy busy work differently from general corp, I also won’t have control over my hours, and potentially worse based on how billing differs (block billing on a few clients vs having to work with 15 or more startups). Is the same true for tech trans or IP group?

Hi everyone!

I've been offered a job at
Publicis Sapient as a front-end developer (React Js).
What kind of work culture, work load and tech stack exposure should I be expecting?
I'm having 1 year experience.

I've also got offers from IndiaMART InterMESH Limited, Amdocs, Verizon and Collegedunia.

All for the role of front-end web developer.

I'm very confused between all of them.

I'm about to graduate from an MBA program and am looking for jobs in this space. I'd love any recommendations for places to check out! Thanks!
