I was in meeting hell last week. Tell me, why do meetings exist if nothing ever gets decided? We’ll sit in a one-hour meeting just to hear, “Let’s circle back later.” Please, couldn’t this just be an email? Who can relate.

Yea, if I had a dollar for every time a meeting ended with no decisions made I could retire. Why do we even need a follow-up meeting if we didn’t accomplish anything in the first one? I completely relate, you should start declining and see what happens.

10 mins before the meeting ends always ask this question what is our key take away from this meeting and the next steps? Do it 3 times a) you won’t be asked to join stupid meetings or b) these meetings will be more valuable.
