Just checked my credit score and it’s an 835. Is it possible to ever get an 850? If so how? (Know it’s not impacting any of my loans, just curious)

1. Yes, some people work towards getting a perfect score but it's usually short lived and doesn't matter at all.
2. Different types of debt, long standing lines of credit, always paying on time, low utilization, few to no hard inquiries, etc. will all help your score.
3. Keep in mind that there are 3 bureaus and a crap ton of scoring models with different factors, weights, and ranges.

One tip I tried that worked is to pay your credit cards 2x a month. Especially with Amex. Not going for perfect, just wanted to raise it as much as could before refi. Also opened another card. That was to replace credit cards that dropped me because I paid off and never used the card. Thanks discover. At least Nordstrom notified me and I could opt to keep it. Then they raised the % way up. Doesn’t matter but not cool.

I think living a frugal life and aiming to retire early makes a lot of sense.

Recently, some of my family members are diagnosed with a rare diseases. When you look at the statistics, these are so many of these ‘rare’ conditions and cumulatively they are not rare.

These family members conditions made me reevaluate how I want to spend my life. I am 35 this year and I can’t decide if I should take great vacations with my kids or keep living a frugal life. Do you have the same dilemma?

I have a Fidelity Brokeragelink account for my 401k. Every other year I switch from pre and post tax contributions. My money is spread over 3 ETFs currently. Does anyone know how this is tracked? Say if $100k is traditional 401k and $100k is Roth 401k, but they’re mixed, how can Fidelity track what funds are Roth/traditional? If I’m up 300% in ARKK, how can I or anyone else at fidelity tell if the cost basis was pre or post tax contributions?
