What is the best way to study for a PHR?

I have my MSHRM; which I got before I started working in HR, and a PHR but with this new HRM role I'm thinking of getting an HR Certification in Strategic Management. It is very costly. Has anyone taken any of these Certification programs? Is it worth it?

I just recently promoted to HR assistant manager. I have my PHR and working towards my SPHR. I am the lowest paid employee in the depth. We have a senior specialist and a general specialist both make more than I do. They have been employed longer with the company. What is your advice on this issue?

I’m not old BUT when I was younger I thought it was important to have all the alphabets after my name (I.e. Phr, SHRM and all the others). I learning that the younger crowd coming into the market thrives off these identifiers yet they know very little about the real world aspects of the job. I watch leadership roll their eyes at the email footers. I feel like keeping those attached to my name hurts my credibility so I removed them…. I’m I thinking wrong?

Hello, I need advice on salary negotiations at my current employer. Got offered a HR management role @ $62k a year. The average salary in SLC is $73k. Someone less than 1 year of experience earns $69k. I’m also PHR certified and have 5+ years of progressive experience in all functions of HR. Anyone in the outdoor or sporting goods industry with a company size of 250-300 employees? TIA

I am having difficulty adjusting to a boss who has no interest in growing people and is simply focused on getting work done. This being a long term project makes motivation a struggle. He is trusted bit too much by the partner thus no one to go talk to about the situation. He does not want to roll me off just because a segment of client team wants me to be around.
