Hi Everyone, I am trying to apply for a Technical Support role at Dropbox I’m entering all the required fields but there seems to be an issue, when I hit submit after filling the form, it doesn’t submit and throws error ‘Looks like you left this blank! Please fill out this required field’ when all the fields are entered already (I have checked so many times, and filled the form from scratch several times too). Anyone from Dropbox who can put me in touch with HR or suggest what I should do next?

I would acknowledge it briefly but not rely on it. I think it helps open the door, but I would still make sure my own experience carries the conversation.

Mention the name but don’t go much further than that. If that person was on the hiring trust that they already did some talking for youZ
There is a balance. You are right to not want to discuss it heavily, because then it feels like you are entirely relying on your connection to another person rather than relying on your skills to carry you through the interview. Do briefly acknowledge it however so they know you have a referral available within the company.

You could briefly mention that they've introduced you to the role to show your connection and explain things they've mentioned that makes you interested in the role
You can mention the person who referred you but there's no need to dwell on it. And chances are the interviewer would have that information already. What's going to matter is how you handle the interview. A referral can get you in the door, but it's up to you from that point forward.
It's the only way to get anywhere. Be thankful, and appreciative. Take your gift and use it wisely. Not all of us get those types of opportunities!
Mention them, but don’t name drop them like candy on Halloween. Your work ethic is your own, but credit them for the opportunity they helped give you. Lifts both of you up simultaneously.
