Oh yes, I’ve been doing freelance side work for years. It’s a great way to bring us some extra cash. You can use freelance sites like fiverr or Upwork. But just understand that when you’re first starting out and don’t have an established profile on these sites that you might have to take some lower paying jobs, to build up your resume/portfolio on the specific sites. Also, you wanna make sure you have a digital portfolio to share a digital résumé to share. But if you put some work into it a few months, you’ll make some decent money. It is highly competitive though so be prepared.
I started a few months ago and I am already making more on the side hustle than at my old job. I had a lot of digital marketing experience, so when I created my portfolio with examples. I had great examples and skills to show. Put in the work and things will be good. I accepted low jobs at first but then everything got better.
What site are you using? Upwork? Freelancer?
+1 for UpWork. It's the easiest place to find freelancing gigs once you've built up your profile. I'd also consider reaching out to local businesses that may be in need of your services. I saw a guy who would reach out to local businesses that he knew existed but didn't appear in Google because they never set up a Google business profile. He'd then offer to do it for $150 or something like that and upsold from there. I'm not saying that's what you should be doing exactly, but if you're willing to get creative like that guy did, there's definitely money to be made.
Such a smart move, I think Upwork is a great place to start!
