I work as a host and the guests at my job are all over the place for instance a family came in wanting to sit at a party table and I respectfully tell them that that those tables are reserved for 5 or more and they just casually say that they were a family of 5 and that their son was dead and my jaw is on the floor how do you respond to that honestly

At a different job I had a customer trying to swindle me in telling me that there was a deal in an item that never had a deal or promotion for sale so he made me scan the item 20 times before believing me. Obviously, he finally let it go but I scan it with an inventory scanner that showed me all of the sale price promotions if there were any

Back when I was getting started in the food world, I worked flipping burgers at In-n-Out. A man came in and said the burgers he had gotten weren’t right. He dumped the food on the counter and then he started throwing them back behind the counter. We gave him a refund and then his demeanor completely changed. He was calmer and he told us to have a great day as he left us to clean up the mess he made.

I had customers tell me how amazing the salads I make for them. It’s great that I can make salads that good!
