Bain & Company Bain & Company Do you have any insights into what they are expecting in the second (last) round? I saw that there are two cases and a presentation. Are they more interested in professionalism than the "analytical" skills assessed in the first round? Do you have any more insights into the presentation?
Many thanks in advance
AWS cloud application architect. Had an on-site interview with AWS a few days ago and just got an email saying they want to talk to me about next steps. The role is cloud application architect but I want to ask them about the senior cloud application architect role. I have all the relevant experience for that role and feel like I’d be a better fit for that senior role. How should I approach this conversation? Is this even possible? Amazon

This happened to me with IBM GBS 2years back, during PDM round, manager did the same and I moved on. Interview is always scheduled by HR post asking our expected CTC. This all drama from manager in PDM round can be avoided by not going ahead with the interview process only, it’s waste of time and efforts from both the parties
Hi brother don't join here they will hire and fire
Agree, specially when you are going in Maximo team under Tony and Sarang

In PDM round itself manager is supposed to ask you your expected CTC once again, did you not state what you wanted at that time?
I went back to them after 4-5days . I asked to revised the fixed part only as they clearly mentioned that there is no option of shares .

@OP, I cannot presume to understand what went on between you and your hiring manager during your PDM round. But, when ISL was expanding in 2023, they were giving good packages to people, and were also open to negotiations and counter offers. My own salary was revised twice before I joined.
However, I must also tell you that they do have internal ratings for every candidate interviewed, so they might be open to negotiating more with people who had higher ratings during interviews than people with comparatively lower ratings.
One possible scenario, that could have happened to you is: They might have expected to hire you in a lower band with lesser responsibilities initially. But when you negotiated, the salary bracket could have crossed over into a higher band, so they might have taken another round to ascertain if you are good enough for a higher band and for more responsibilities, after which they might have felt that you're not the right fit. And hence the rejection. I agree that the scenario could have been communicated more clearly to you. I also believe none of these would have happened if you had a 5/5 score during your initial technical interview.
By hike, you mean you got the offer from them?
Yes I got the offer Letter . After analysis I asked to revise it after 4-5days
How much percentage of hike he offered on your current salary
40% but I have not changed the company in past 8 years
Then it is good brother
What is good here? If I ask to revise it then if they reject me ..what is good here.
There is no question of hike n all…it the question of moral and ethics …is this the way they treat people
