Trust that being bi-lingual or speaking multiple languages is going to be secret power. You are able to process and condense information like no one else. With time you will be absolutely able to stand out. Don't hold back, participate in the conversation, the more you speak the easier it will get and people around you will also adjust.
Immigrant here in the US. Based on my experience, it takes time. Soon you’ll be able to understand their jokes, cultures etc. Just keep yourself updated with the local news, trends, interest etc.

I also live in a country where the primary language is not my native tongue so I can relate. Find a person or people at your company who you can have lunch with our practice joining on social conversations to practice. There is nothing wrong with engaging your co-workers to help you master the social elements of the language, you just have to ask so they can be aware of your need and provide an opportunity for you to practice. I learned more dutch this way (and faster).
