My job application status in portal says it is under review since one month but I haven't recieved any calls or mails. Does it mean I am still in consideration or they have put my candidature on hold?

McKinsey & Company I received an offer from McKinsey & Company in 2021 and I’ll be starting later this year after graduation. Obviously because of the pandemic, inflation is slowly trending upwards. Has anyone asked for a base salary increase before even starting the job? Any advice on how to approach this?

Thats quite low for a used german luxury car. You might end up paying a lot for maintenance/repair. Only models that would fit that budget are bmw 2/3, mercedes cla/c, audi a3/a4
Depends what you want, more like 25-35 or just lease a new bmw 330xi

5 year old + German cars are not a good idea. Lease a new one.

2014-2016 A4/A5 Audi. Best bet for what you are looking for
Haven’t looked at audis much. Thanks!
Audi, Mercedes, BMW; Quattro, 4matic, x-drive; A4, C300, 328i. 2013 - 2016 for all of them for your price range. Happy hunting
I’d go with late model Audi A4 Quattro s or q5 Quattros, preferably 2015 or newer. You can also try seeing if you can get a 2015 or newer 535i x drive with m sport package. Both are attainable within 18k. Even a 2016 + a6 with 3.2l engine is quite possible.
Audi A4 or a newer, lower mileage A3
Go for lower mileage where you can
E55 AMG
I know you’re kidding and I love the W211 E55. The M113K is a classic engine. However, prices for low mile/unmodified versions are insane. Factor in the fuel tank issue(s) and the massive amount of preventative maintenance that you would need (motor mounts, air springs, and probably all new lines/hoses). Great cars to build a racer out of if you have an account at Kleeman/Weistec.
For under 20K, you can definitely find a decently used German car. Maintenance isn’t as bad if you find a reliable independent garage. If you’re buying private party, get a PPI. If you’re looking for comfort and AWD, MB/Audi/BMW all have turbo charged 4 cylinder engines in the E-class/A6/5 series lines. You won’t win drag races, but you’ll get some of the creature comforts...
