Where’s the best place to live if you’re looking to secure an entry-level position working in PE? Don't have a family, really kind of willing to try anywhere at this point.

I have pretty strong social phobia and am worried about making friends. I'm going to be working for an engineering company so I imagine I don't have to be really up on the latest trends or anything but how can I talk to people without making it sound unnatural?

I am 52 I have been feeling so tired and when I was in my 40’s. I had a lot more energy. Now I am so tired after work - but I have 4 girls ages, 16-15-13-9. I am going through menopause and my Osteoarthritis hurts somedays and that doesn’t work. Any advice how to keep up with my four girls while feeling crummy?!?

Getting married in September, have a vax only policy for guests. My fiancé’s sister is bringing her unvaccinated spouse to the hotel where all the wedding festivities are being held b/c she is too scared to fly on an airplane without him. I find this incredibly uncomfortable and selfish given it will put me and my fiancé in an uncomfortable position (and it will also put my elderly parents and other vulnerable fam members at risk). Any ideas as to what (if anything) to do?

So… 3.5 year relationship came crashing in Jan due to covid depression, work burn out, lockdown etc. We have stayed in contact and recently he has come around to apologizing and considering getting back together. However he also revealed he started seeing someone casually 4 weeks ago and technically is cheating on her by meeting me for coffee and to discuss this. Salam. 23M here - all my life I’ve had my back on our faith - never really prayed but had imaan (I guess). After bouts of depression from girl problems (🙄), issues within immediate family, being disappointed expectations I had for myself, etc. I’ve been working on bettering my situation over the years. Faith is the only area where I think I need more guidance. Having trouble relating to friends or family about this. Anyone else been thru something similar? How have you connected back to Islam?

So my fiancé and I are having a microwedding in Rocky Mountain National Park next year, and we’re working with an elopement planner.
She sent over a sample ceremony (intro, sweet poems + passages to be read, and example vows), and we read through it last night. I was reading it out loud while my fiancé made dinner, and it just hit me that this is really happening. I’m just really happy that I found someone who is willing to take a vow to spend his life with me and I’m so excited for that day :)

How do you balance your social life with work? I feel like all my non-law friends are out doing shit every night and living it up on the weekends and I just can't. I'm either working or I'm tired from working. How can I set better boundaries about working outside of work, and where do y'all get the motivation to be outside after work 😭

I have realized I grew up in a household where my dad did not treat my mom as an equal. He belittles her, is rude and convinced his way is the only way.

I had a behavioral interview with a manager from another team and a case study with the hiring manager. They both took notes as I gave my answers but the first manager was very disinterested from the get go and was distracted as he kept looking away from the screen.
