If someone saves proprietary company docs in their own personal google drive and then shares with other people… how can I anonymously let the company know (not the company I work for)

It’s hard to trust the partners/leadership when they want us to return to office as being better when we increase offshoring? Also, the pressure on billable hours when all that really matters is how much our fixed labor costs vs. how much we can bill (which is usually fixed fee or at least a range) and the fixed labor costs of offshoring is significantly cheaper so the hours don’t matter. Am I mistaken by this viewpoint?

Hi all,

My team is evaluating how we can automate identity access certification decisions. This would be based off of access risk and previous certification decisions. We are seeking additional feedback on how automatic certifications would align with access review timeline requirements. If anyone has insight in this area, I would love to hear more.

Hi all - Trying to pivot into Cybersecurity/Infosec after 7 + years of experience in Network Engineering. No security related certifications. I have enough work experience in network security to match 60-70% of job requirements for infosec positions. Capable to get CEH/OSCP certifications in a few months, but want to wait until I get my foot into the door before investing 2-3K on these certs. Any advice for me will be greatly appreciated.

Could you all please suggest or share any tips/key things to prepare for an upcoming AWS Partner SA, Security phone interview. Already prepared for LPs. Thank you.

What is the standard yearly hike in IT Security industry in North America? I have worked for 7 months in Threat Intelligence in a company in Canada, and I got a yearly hike of just 3% in my first appraisal cycle. My manager says that you get 3% when you are meeting expectations but not going above and beyond. Is this the standard or am I being underpaid? According to me, I haven't gone above and beyond every day, but there are some things I did work on exceptionally well.

I am a new to product cybersecurity as an infosec analyst. One of my tasks is that I have to develop an individual development plan for myself and I am struggling because I don’t really know what strategic projects to look for with just a month into the company. Can someone please give me some examples of what kind of projects they have added into their plans as an infosec professional?

Hey everyone - I am trying to get an entry level position in cyber / info security. Got my BS Cyber and Info Security in 2021. Have 5+ YoE in IT Support. Based in Chicago. CEH or Pentest+ ? I am being offered an opportunity for training and certification in either. CEH seems more marketable but I keep reading criticism of EC Council and the quality of their credentials. Pentest+ is newer and having it will renew my stack of Compton certain. Neither really line up to my goal of sitting for the CISSP

Howdy…I need a sanity check! As part of my previous role, I reported security non-compliance and gross security misrepresentations. For my valiant efforts I was laid off (despite being a protected whistleblower) and my reports were buried. Everything I did was in line with my responsibilities. I was extremely concerned that systems housing personal credit data on all US consumers were not adequately protected. I essentially risked my job to protect data and I’m not sure if it mattered.
