Who on this bowl prefers white? Red?
Hi Fishes
I want to share very bad experience I had at Mastercard
I was given offer by Mastercard in month of Dec The hike was less but looking at brand & other perks I accepted the offer & was looking forward to joining them.I got few offers & I went back to them for sole purpose of renegotiating CTC, to have a industry standard hike. They didn't reverted back for 2-3 days & just dropped a mail that they are revoking initial offer as well on grounds that they didn't like i gave other interview

Do it!! You'll never regret the time you spend traveling or with your family. Those times are PRICELESS! You can always get a new job later. Realistically, I'd recommend looking in private industry when you to want to work again because the pay and work life balance is often so much better and they will value that you have public accounting experience.
Totally agree! I'm waiting to have kids a little longer for this exact reason. In a few years my husband will make enough so that I don't have to work and won't have to drop my kids off at daycare. Life has gotten way too expensive for families and it's sad.
Are you planning on not working or doing something less stressful for 5 years? Either way, it might take a little longer to get a job with a 5 year gap but it’s not like you would never get an accounting job again. People do career changes all of the time which would be similar to your situation.
Gotcha. Then, yeah, I think it might take a little longer to just get a job when you decide to start applying again but you can put that on your resume for sure.

Another option could be a flexible work arrangement where you work even 10 to 20 hours each week. I had a senior manager that was my role model. She had twins and did 10 hours a week at EY during non-busy season and 20 hours a week during busy season until the twins went to college. After that, she switched back to full-time.
Omg do it!! Worst case scenario you come back 5 years at the same level!
I dont mind being a senior for a few more years. I do have my EA. Might finally get the time to study for cpa.
Are you guys rich associates or something ?
He is a manager and I am a senior. Definitely not rich, we have 2 ivf babies. Not saying regular pregnancy is easy. But many rounds of ivf and we feel terrible putting them in daycare. Just want to enjoy them and this time.
You can still find work. A friend of mine (fr Big 4) told me that one of her staff returned after taking care of the kids, same as yours. She didn’t find any issue with applying, getting the job and some firms may not take it agaisnt you. Time with growing kids is priceless.
