If you could step into any profession for a day, what would it be—and why?
I’d be a doctor—it was my childhood dream. Helping people and making a real impact has always inspired me. What about you?

Sales - would be cool to spend some time chasing deals, but I wouldn't want the pressure of sales targets day to day.

I’m actively taking steps to become a nurse as my next career. Nearly 15 years in product and I’m DONE. But if I could just step in for a day it would be a professional organizer. Not a career I would want long term but I love helping people purge / organize their stuff. Would love to do it for a day!

I’m also a PM (9 years) who wants to become a nurse! Taking my first pre rec this summer .. such a long journey ahead. Could I please DM you?

Event production - I think it actually translate well from product. Understanding the problem space/market, coming up with solutions, implementing, logistics/coordination, negotiation, etc

Advice on applying to PM jobs with 1yr APM experience?

I’ve been working as an APM at my current company for 1yr, and have basically been doing the work of a full blown PM the entire time. I’ve lead several features from start to finish and made sure to mention in my resume that I have been doing everything a regular PM does. Has anyone ever hired an APM for a PM role or done it yourself? Any tips? Advice?

I’m trying to pivot to PM after >3 years in finance and I have a 2nd round interview with CPO this week. Company has 3.7 on Glassdoor with complaints about CEO, “bro-y” culture, and hard to wfh. It’s a data analytics company with 5 PMs, was bought by a PE firm this year, and has a new (female) CEO as of Oct. Role is 50/50 hybrid, pays well vs what I make, and most importantly would be a foot in the door to PM. Is this a good place to be for PM? What else do I need to find out to know for sure?
