I have some good ex colleagues who moved over there and also looked up on LinkedIn and see lots of seemingly smart and accomplished people in their D&A team in the UK.
I'll ask my ex colleagues too, but wanted to see if people here have any opinion or information on this too.

I've heard stories about companies who tout their training when they're hiring people, and then it all just falls apart when the person is in place. In fairness, in some positions there is an aspect of having to simply learn from experience as you grow in the job. But I always believe a lot of problems in the workplace can be traced back to bad training or just inadequate training in the first weeks of someone's employment.
Completely agree. I think most performance issues start with poor onboarding. People are expected to hit the ground running with zero context. Proper training builds confidence, trust, and better outcomes.

Being trained prior to employment is key, or if not then training is a definite requirement before perusing a certain role, as said above proper training builds confidence and trust. This is the main key to many path routes.
