FactSet hi, does anyone have experience working for FactSet in Norwalk, CT? How is the culture like? Are they promoting from within? Turnover? Benefits? Pay? Work-life balance? Depends on a lot of things. Are you single? Have kids? Have a mortgage, high rent? How much does money matter? Also how much lower? There are so many factors that would play into it for me.
Family, hcol area. Job 1 pays bills and keeps family afloat. Job 2 gets the fun stuff (eg vacations, home updates, college fully paid, etc)
Whats the current investment framework for 1 and 2?
Since both are insurance companies, the liability side of asset allocation is critical. Will you be instrumental in building out or enhancing their liability management?
would you be a member of - or participant on - the IC?
How much leniency do you have in strategic investment decisions in either role - take whichever one you’re more hands on and can demonstrate successful investment management / risk oversight.
I agree with Senior Manager 1. While it depends on many factors, personally, in my current situation, I would choose offer #1. I place a high value on work-life balance and spending time with friends and family.
