Oh gosh, let me guess, it's not going to be good? Why don't we ever get good news when it comes to those of us who are struggling to get by?
Somehow this doesn't surprise me. Can't have people finding a way to keep a roof over their head after all. Remember last year when that real estate CEO said that employment needs to jump to 40, 50% so we can all be reminded of our place? Ya, fun.

Problem is many are not doing the hustles as a secondary income, they are doing the hustle because they do not want to have a boss not realizing the company and customers they are delivering to ARE their bosses. There are also many who think it is free money that they do not have to report or they do not understand how taxes work.

Do you know what the changes are going to be? I hope it’s not raising taxes on gig work. It’s bad enough that a lot of us have to rely on gig work to survive or make a decent income.

They are doing the tax changes since there are so many people out there working "gig" or side hustles and not recording correctly or at all. There are many who also deliver food or people with their hustle and do not have the correct insurance as in this case your personal car insurance is not valid. I am sorry but if you want to be an independent contractor you have to be up on ALL the tax, insurance, and other information. I hope they lower the amount required to be reported to the IRS and taxes filed from $600 reportable income to $100.
