Hello fishes,
I have a background in finance and 6+ YOE of professional work experience, I had to leave CA in between due to family emergency and started working (although only 1 group of CA final is left, 1 is cleared already), so can anyone provide an insight if being CA qualified is a mandatory requirement in EY and EY GDS in position of Manager in Accounting, auditing,FAAS,AWM teams etc
Would appreciate any insight, as seems HR everywhere just see degree and not the relevant work ex..

This year has taught me that if a job seems appealing to you and like you'll learn something valuable you should take it and let the rest of your life figure it out.
I would never expect a position with that title to be anything other than a jd required position. I don’t think it hurts for future in house hiring other than potentially having to explain why you are or how you will handle going from the “top” lawyer position to something where you report to another attorney.
That’s correct I read this as a different position than what it sounds like the job really is.
I feel that it could as this role almost never has a JD (at least among tech companies) so you will probably not see much legal work and may be viewed as rusty when moving back to a traditional legal role. It is a good skill set to have if you could keep up your legal skills. The combined skill set could be valuable to an early stage company that needs legal work done and processes put in place.
Good question — I applied for a “Litigation Director” position at my current company and have been wondering if I would be closing myself off from practicing law again. It’s the point person overseeing all outside counsel and keeping track of litigation etc… and not necessarily hands on law practice.

Depends what you go back to a firm to do. If you’re going to practice then yes it will likely impact you. If you want to go in an operational role, then it’s good training. Same with another in house role.
Depends on the nature of the role and the company. Some are very legal and it is an easy transition. Some have no legal aspect and are tougher.
