Ketchup on latkes?
Hoping to get in touch with #Peraton recruiter! I have about 9 months left in Air Force where I work in cyber defense and vulnerability management, have a BA in cybersecurity, sitting for CISSP and have lots of certs. Would love to chat with someone about opportunities. Hold a clearance and could technically start in 7 months. Any help is appreciated!! Thank you.

No, the question is just more how long you can afford to stay afloat if you don't find a new and better job for awhile. Then again, one day at the 3 letter chain I just knew I couldn't do this anymore and even if I took a huge pay cut I'd survive- so I quit with no job lined up. The wheels do seem to turn slow in hiring though when you're unemployed. Thus, I found working at a temp agency got me money quickly to live on while I figured out my long-term plans.
I was in that situation couple of months ago. If you are in a situation, where your employer is putting your license and heath at risk, you have to get out regardless of whether you found a job or not. If a prospective employer doesn’t look at why you left a previous employment, they are probably not the employer that you want to work for.
Thank you for saying this. I’m going through this now, and my job is severely affecting my mental health, which is affecting my physical health. Some days I hope they just let me go because I don’t want to work there anymore. I’m just tired and over it. But they’re not tolerating me quitting as much as I explain how I don’t think that this job is right for me.
I don’t agree with that sentiment. Life happens. I was unemployed for six months prior to my dream job. I kept my mind busy though.
No. I left because I had the safety net and knew I stay too busy with work and home to put in real effort finding a new job I am fulfilled when I leave work everyday
Yes
No, being stuck at a job you hate can make you more desperate and therefore less willing to be patient for the job you want
I’m going through this now. I took my job out of fear of not having one and now I regret that decision. But I’m afraid to quit because I want the money. (Full disclosure: I’ve been in poverty/homeless before and the thought of not having a job affects that wound of that.)
