If you were given a golden ticket to move into any job at any salary (within reason) what would you choose? I would be fine with management and 250k

Love this question.. I’d go for a creative director role at a mission-driven company. Still leadership, but with room to play and build cool stuff. Maybe around $180k and some freedom to travel. Your 250k goal sounds like a sweet mix of ambition and reality!

> "within reason"
> "250k"

To be fair, within reason is radically different depending on your location and what you are already making. For me Research fellow and 150k. That goes a good way where I’m at. If I kept just skip past all that pesky and expensive education credentials, I’d be well on my way! 😂

Imma stay right where I am.

Managing a horse boarding facility in Colorado (maybe in Kentucky if the pay was good enough) for $250K or more.

I like my job, I would just like to be making more money. A lot more money. The job itself is great, but the compensation is pretty poor.

Quick PSA: one of the perks of going in-house, is that you’re no longer at an ad agency and all that that entails.

Just started a new in-house tech fl gig and it’s giving me whiplash! Somehow this dept has brought every person/toxic behavior from their old agency just to a new environment. Nowhere is perfect but good god. I honestly think companies/HR could learn a lot about their depts from freelancers.

Hi all,

After the final interview, HR reached out and said they would like to extend an offer. HR gave a ball park of 135k - 145k base with about 15k in sign-on equity and 20k annual bonus.

After a couple of days, HR person came back with with 125k base and 20k annual bonus. No sign-on equity anymore. What should I do given that these numbers seem way lower than the initial range provided? HR claimed it’s because of “market conditions”.
