It depends on whether the PIP is “valid.” If you know your performance has been lacking (even if you don’t feel the PIP was warranted), you definitely should give a two week notice. The company might just release you now, rather than letting you work the two weeks.

I would say start looking for a new job or in this case.. take the offer. I was recently let go for PIP but was never told i was on a PIP and was only at the for a couple of months…
