I'm 36 and had a child last year.

I make a ton of money ($250k+ bonus and great benefits) and my husband doesn't make much and is self employed (40-60k, no benefits).

Right now my child is staying with my parents while I work.

I have a strong desire to quit and spend more time with the baby (and maybe do some work part-time remote).

It would require a lot of change in our lifestyle (selling an expensive house, maybe moving to a LCOL location).

Please pray for me.

Anyone else have experience leading product managers across multiple groups who don't have much to do with each other? Or leading a group whose teams don't really make sense as a group? Feels like a lot of context switching on my end all the time, which sucks up my energy to go deep with leading each of my product managers. How did you deal?

I was a contractor for a big company and they just let me know that my last day is December 30th. I got this position thanks to a recruiting company that has been great and gives me benefits.
Should I:
- Continue working with the recruiting company, hoping that they will find another position for me? (as they told me they will, and when they applied me I started working with my current company within 2 weeks)
- Work with the recruiter + apply for jobs on my own?

My husband and I regularly attend (virtually lately) a church we love, however there’s not a great way for us to connect by way of a small group (We’re in our late 20s and I’d say the average age in our church is 50 so all the groups are geared towards parents with adult children, things like that). How do you find ways to connect outside of church?

Does anyone have tips regarding attending social events, such as happy hours with coworkers and express that drinking isn’t my preference?
With me being the only one on my team who doesn’t drink, it causes me to stick out, and others constantly question why I’m not drinking.
It kind of deters me from attending work events, but I know there’s a lot of benefitting in being around.
