I’m a CAT adjuster traveling almost full time for work, I have 5 years of industry experience with 3 years in claims. I realize this role can’t be something I do forever, and need an exit plan, but everything I look at is almost half of the pay when I look at total compensation. I was looking into underwriting, hopefully on the commercial or specialty end. What can I do to minimize differences in pay and maximize offers when I make the change? I was thinking of getting my CPCU.

Friend of mine was supposed to receive an offer (told verbally) from Deloitte and then just found out they are pausing on hiring the role. How common is that? Fishes, I have a job title question. Does it matter if a role is in the same project with different titles? Example: SA, State and Local, Researcher vs SA, State and Local, Business Analyst. The job description makes it sound like they are the same project. However, Business Analyst does have more requirements/qualifications listed than Researcher. I’m coming from industry (3 YOE).
