I’m a Medical Assistant looking for a job. I have 4 years of experience. I have worked under a cardiologist, pain specialist, hormone replacement specialist, and behavioral health specialist. I am skilled with clia waived test and blood draws, along with splint fitting and other procedures. Front office and Back office are both my strong suits and love to check in patients and guide them to their exam rooms and take vitals in triage. I’m very friendly and have good communication skills.

When you budget for your engagements, what percentage of staff time is your budgeted manager time? I have always heard manager time should be about 50% of staff time but now leadership is pushing back. I have found the 50% to reflect reality. Managers don't reperform the work but have to do a detailed review. Thoughts?

I'm entering my final year of law school but am going part time since I work full time as a paralegal. I have been a paralegal for more 10+ years and I want to open my own firm after I pass the bar.

I've worked at a lot of different size firms including a startup with a few attorneys and I was able to help with a lot of the ground work with getting the practice management system in place and still do some of that now at my current firm. Has anyone done this right out of law school? Any advice?

Has anyone received equity as contingency comp? I have a potential client with a founders dispute. He doesn’t have cash, and the other founder ripped him off and is now running the company. He wants to sue for equity and wants to pay me with whatever equity he wins. I’ve never done a deal like that. Is that even enforceable? CA law. The startup is actually quite promising.

Hello! I’m currently a Administrative assistant now working at a major medical system in Baltimore.
