I'm about to start a 3 round interview process at Microsoft Research for a SDE role (contingent position). The role is slightly specific in terms of skill set & I have experience in the same and a 2 year industry experience as SDE and Data Scientist.
I would really like to know:
1. Merits/demerits of a contingent position
2. Conversion rate of a contingent employee to a full time employee.
3. What can I expect in the 3 round of interviews? DSA (level?), anything else?
4. Salary range?

There's a lot of backstory to this but I can only type so much SO I've been with my company for 10.5 hours and just found out they've increased their base pay for starting employees $3-5/hr. I have received my annual 3-4% raises, only because I always make sure to ask for it, but nothing more. They didn't even acknowledge my 10 year anniversary with the company and it's a pretty small company (less than 100 employees). I feel I should get a $3-5/hr raise since the base pay was raised. Thoughts?
