Surprised! I thought nursing payed well and in high demand. What state are you in?

Bless your heart. It definitely depends on where you are. It can be an extremely underpaid and overworked job.

Switch to medical billing and coding or look for remote nursing work there is options to not burn yourself out. My other half is a nurse and the biggest problem that they have at a lot of the homes and independent care places is the lack of nurses caring about their work. Its really a passion thing, you either work to live or live to work in nursing. Working to live is the burnout . With your nursing license you have a lot of options you just need to be creative in looking. There's also discounts at some stores and restaurant's. Keep your head up and remember "You are a Super Hero"!

Hey guys. I recently graduated with a bach in business, a graphic design bach, and an MBA this past May. I thought this would help make me look like a stand out on job applications along w/ my international internship but I can’t get an interview for an entry level job at big companies like Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, or Leo Burnett. Should I take my MBA off my resume?? What am I missing??

Do you continue to see in-flight interview processes through once you’ve received and accepted an offer? It feels premature to cut the chord on the others, but also the decision between the companies becomes harder. Also afraid of the possibility to go back on the acceptance of the one role in favor of another.

Anyone have any friends who successfully pivoted out of advertising? I know a handful of people who are half-trying to, but I can’t think of anyone who has made a clean break, on their own terms, into something that appears to be making them feel more fulfilled than they were in the ad biz. So they continue freelancing in order to make a living, while not gaining much traction elsewhere.

I have been in Recruiting and HR for 11 years and thinking about making a career move. Ild love to hear from anyone that’s made a career move from HR to a different role.

Is it difficult to move without a reference. I got all the skills needed in current job market. But looks like getting a job call itself is difficult.
Or is it because of My H1B visa status.

For the people who earned the SHRM-CP, did you feel it was worth it? I have an indirect HR position, been applying for more HR focused positions and wondering if this would help. I got the CAPM (certified associate of project management) in December, but that hasn’t really changed things. Would love some opinions before working on another certification!

I’m currently interviewing with a few top 10 firms and a couple top 100 firms for a mostly remote experienced associate/new senior role. Does anyone have any tips on virtual interviews and how to gauge the culture of the firm and if it really will be a good fit for you? I’m struggling to figure out that out because I used to gauge it on the feeling I got while in their office during interviews. Any suggestions would be helpful :)

Additionally, I’m sick of people looking down on me. My gf is getting a PhD in a social science and gets way more respect then me. I am 25 also. HELP
