I’m Canadian currently living and working at a big4 in NYC as a tech consultant. Been here for almost 5 years and soon to be Manager. I miss Canada and the green card is still 18 months away and sometimes I want to just give up and move back because of burnout and stress. Does consulting in Canada have better work life balance in general? I want some advice if moving back to Canada is still feasible with current job market and exit opportunities as a Manager.

Evening! Dog owners who live in condo rentals downtown.. did you tell your landlord you had a dog? I’m in a rental with a lease that says no pets (i’m sure a common clause?) and i didn’t have any pets moving in. 6 months in, i got a puppy lol. I don’t want to invite potential conflict by updating my landlord, my lawyer partner says the no pets clause is void in toronto anyway - but I worry about a bad landlord reference if they find out i.e come for repairs.
