I am an experienced hire. My case might just take you by surprise. I joined EY GDS 10 months back at 40% hike (leaving PwC) and now Deloitte (DIJV) is offering me 2 level up designation at Manager level with another 40% hike. This has effectively doubled my salary in the last one year bt still I am confused to switch or not considering the amazing bonuses GDS payed off today. Please suggest.

Just how bad would it be to quit without a two week notice? I’ve been bait & switched into a horrible role, overworked to the point of having medical problems, and no amount of diplomatic talks with my manager has improved the day to day. My dilemma… I am an injury adjuster at a carrier experiencing high inventory that’s barely manageable. A competitor offered a higher salary and manageable workload. BUT, I would like to get into underwriting. I applied for UW position w/ a different carrier and they’ve made an offer. It’s lower than my current salary and significantly lower than what I’d make by taking the first offer. Do I take the high salary and stay in claims or go for UW in hopes it will be best in long run?

How does one tell their boss (owner of the company) that you are burnt out? The sheer volume of work is exhausting and I haven’t taken a true vacation as we are a small company so if something urgent comes to my email I feel like I must respond. I was given an additional title and more responsibilities last year as well but only a 3% raise for it.

I’ve been a licensed general lines (2-20) insurance agent for year and a half and have sold around 2M in premium, of which most of it is personal lines (homeowners, DP), and some commercial lines business. Hello all, i have. A question regarding compensation for a lateral move. I just received a job offer for an UA position from a competing cyber insurance carrier for $70,000 + bonuses. This job will be based out of San Francisco. I currently make $30/hour for the same role in Chicago, after OT it’s about $60,000. Do you think it would be wise to accept the offer? Thoughts in general?

Just made a career pivot and accepted a job with Progressive in sales. I’ve heard more good things than bad about the company. I turned down Liberty and Allstate so I’m hoping I made the right choice. Curious if anyone works there can offer their opinion about what it’s like working for Progressive.
