I’m looking to exit by starting a company. But before we can get meaningful funding I want to make up for a salary gap ($200k) through some “side gigs”. Has anyone tried that? Executive coaching, fractional executives, some industry specific consulting contracts? Anyone else been able to do this?

Can someone help me understand why people are pumping crazy money into DoorDash and AirBnb but didn’t go equally Gaga for Palantir?
Don’t get me wrong, I like DD and Airbnb, but the $100+/share seems odd to me given that both are susceptible to regulatory and overall consumer confidence. I was able to buy into PLTR for $11/ share fwiw and think that company has better long-term upside prospects.

Got news that my house closing may have to be moved due to a delay in the sale of my home. My partner’s income was excluded in the DI ratio, but if it were included we’d be well under the % threshold and can be approved to close on time regardless of the sale of my house. However our mortgage company’s underwriting team has been painfully slow in confirming if her income qualifies. She’s been at her new job 1 month after a year off. Anyone with underwriting experience have insight?

Is the executive order from June impacting people who had an h1b stamped and moved jobs? Since the h1b would need an amendment if someone changes jobs, would that pose a risk? Any folks who have moved jobs on h1b in the last month or so?
