Salam dear brother/sister
Believe it or not, but the fact that you are feeling like that ("my heart has always been with Allah") is sign of Imaan and strong belief.
Alhamdulilah Allah allows to feel that way to get closer to Him subhanahu wa taala. It is an invitation!!!
While I do not know how to answer your question, Allah can though!!! So whenever you pray, directly ask Allah in your sujoud for guiding and confide in Him!!!!
I hope this helps :)

Book some time off & go to Mecca. Make some difficult decisions while there. Make a promise to your lord that you’ll do better. We all fall for these traps, you just need to know how to get up after.
Best reset possible.
One underrated aspect is to keep more God-fearing company. From Sunan Abu Dawud: “The Prophet (S) said: A man follows the religion of his friend; so each one should consider whom he makes his friend.”
Biggest turning point in my life was when I became roommates with a solid group of Muslim guys. They were the most accomplished in their careers, down-to-earth with humility, and truly sincere and knowledgeable about their religion. They were the kind of people who would excuse themselves from hanging out on a Friday night after a long week of work saying “Haven’t really felt my connection with Allah that strongly lately - want to remedy that tonight”
Just being in their company made me better
I’m not sure if you’re the journaling type or not. Or maybe you can start with this journal called “The Self & Faith Journal” by AlEmaanCo. It’ll transform your relationship with Islam and Allah. Try it out, I like you am struggling and found this to be a great help as the questions really make you dive deeper and gets you to look at yourself differently.
Just make 1 salaah a day everyday. If I can sleep I can make isha
We've all been there you are not alone. I am by no means perfect and try myself. What I would suggest is just don't overthink and make salah whenever you can. Secondly, after salah or anytime during the day, make some dhikr do it on your finger tips, it could be durood, astaghfar anything you can easily do. That would keep you holding on to Him, and keep you in that frame of mind (of worship) even betwen prayers Hope this helps.
