Def appetizers. Unless dim sum and tapas also fall in that category then I don’t have a loophole and I refuse to answer this question.

Dessert. Have your sweets before dinner, call it an appetizer 😛

funnylike

That’s easy. Giving up dessert.

Rough, but my favorite “app” I used to order was an entree we split (goat stew @ Kokkari), plus deserts make fun apps too sometimes.

Despite the fact I order more apps than deserts, keeping desert.

Lol just saw this again, dessert*

Appetizers

Appetizers

Appetizers for me. Don't eat them anyway. Dessert I eat instead of meal. 🤣

Depends. Giving these foods up in the context of a full meal, or giving them up entirely? I might eat some ice cream midday, for instance. Also, some appetizers can be main courses. Tacos, sliders, even nachos. Dim sum, which is eaten as the main course meal, has a lot of dumplings that are frequently eaten as appetizers for other meals.

I would give up neither for life 😜 but can just make apps bigger I guess! 7 apps = 1 main, right? So I'll just eat like 7 egg rolls at a time!

Desserts!!!!!

apps.

Desserts. It would be hard but it’s probably better for me anyway. Apps are my favorite 😍

Have final round interviews at BCG tomorrow. I'm at S& right now at the SA level. Father had a sudden health issue come up this week and it's got me off my game. I'll ultimately need to support him financially for at least a year while he recovers. Not complaining, but has me considering just dropping out of the interview process. Is that crazy? Is the opportunity with BCG really so far beyond what I have already with S&? Is dropping a better look than interviewing and doing terribly?

So let’s say if someone’s father / very close relative was very high up in the government of India in Delhi. How does that person go about leveraging his / her relationships, legally, to do something in India? Would you rather do that or stay in the US in consulting?

529 Plan VERSUS Prepaid

We live in Florida and currently have a Freshman in High School and a 16 month old. We hear from our friends and family with college bound children "I wish we would have done Florida PrePaid." After obviously ignoring this for years, we are finally trying to do it before "it's too late" for both children.

Does anyone have recommendations on which plan to go with for each child? I once did the pros and cons on a whiteboard and it seemed like 529 was better.

Idk if it’s due to Covid, Seattle freeze, a combination of the two or other factors. Any transplants out there who are NOT the outdoorsy type and feel the same? And if so, how did you get past it?

For anyone in this bowl. How crucial is it for you to have a formal dining room separated from the kitchen? Am I out of touch? Or is it still important?

Hey everyone. I found out we are expecting our first child and I’m really nervous. I got into consulting one year ago and I’m up for promotion this year. With timing of our performance conversations I would have to inform I’m pregnant before outcomes - then shortly after the promotion effective date I would go on a leave for due date. I’ve worked really hard and I’m worried our wonderful news will throw chances with this :(- also if I don’t get promoted pretty sure it’s up or out. Any advice?

Brigadeiro are scrumptious dulce de leche caramel bonbons, a beloved confection of Brazil. Brigadeiro is made from sweetened condensed milk, butter, and cocoa powder which is heated in a saucepan until it thickens and becomes a sticky caramel. Once it cools, it is rolled into a ball and dipped in multicolored sprinkles.

The iconic bonbon was named after Brigadeiro Eduardo Gomes, a 1946 presidential candidate. It was created to win voter support. (He lost).

Cavatappi in Roasted Red Pepper Cream Sauce

Tired of of the same old boring tomato marinara sauce? Try a roasted red pepper cream sauce!

Red bell peppers are roasted in the oven until sweet. It is then blended with caramelized onions, garlic, red pepper flakes, sun dried tomato paste, and cream into a silky, smooth and velvety sauce. Finish the sauce with a knob of butter and coat your pasta. Cavatappi works well here. Don’t forget to shave a little Pecorino Romano
