I tend to overwork myself and it’s really taking a toll on my mental well-being. I want to learn a lot and prove myself to my superiors so that they recognize me/see value. Now my work has a sense of dread to it. I watched my parents be workaholics growing up, so it’s all I know. I’m also goal-oriented and driven, so achieving a lot scratches that itch for me. But, it’s making me want to quit cause I’m burned out and depressed….im not sure what to do. Any suggestions would be helpful.

My advice is to network and interview as much as you can. Work on your resumé/CV to have it spotless and reach out to people in industries/companies or roles you're interested in. Sooner or later you'll find something better. Another thing is speaking with your manager and telling them you would like to explore other roles within the company or perhaps interested in doing non-BAU projects that can potentially be of interest.
You have to balance total remote work with having an active life out there. I work home 3 times a week and sometimes I feel the same. Not easy. I suggest you join a club or sign up for classes of some sort to disconnect from work and build a stronger social life.
Do you care to advise what company you work for? I’d love to be fully remote instead of hybrid. And mental health is a battle. It’s tough to find a balance sometimes with work.
