Tell me if im crazy but: Berkshire Hathaway been sitting on their hands forever waiting on an acquisition target where multiples weren’t so out of control. Well this might be it, so calls on targets?

They’re already heavily invested in several major airlines. Seems logical that they might up those investments or fully acquire if valuations continue to deteriorate. Especially given it’s a certainty that these are short term revenue hits airlines are taking

Are there any top contenders? I would just open a few hundred $ in lotto calls on maybe the top 3

Dow is at the level last summer. If he’s not buying anything last summer, why’d he buy now?

Actual fundamental growth but at the same price as previous? Impatience? Proof of higher multiples as real possibility

I feel like larger investments in oil companies with strong balance sheets like Occidental (granted he’s already in there), but if you look at their valuations right now, they’re below those in the GFC when oil was $26 p/sh. Not sure it’d be a takeover, but more significant investments. He’s smart, he knows the market is inflated and is holding cash for the right buying time.

Anyone who interviewed with Goldman Sachs recently, how did the salary negotiations go? The couple of calls I received from HR, they want to pin down a number before even proceeding for the interviews. So just wondering if they negotiate it when giving an offer.

Retirement question. New industry job. No Roth 401k. Just normal and after tax 401k. What should %s should I put in for each? Can do ~25% of comp into retirement. New Roth IRA? 401k rollover?

My little calculator feature on my 401k dashboard told me today I need to be saving 3x my current contribution to meet the "double your salary by 35" quota they tout. I just got this salary a year ago and would be in track with my old salary...but can't afford to put that kind of money into it right now to catch up. How does this whole benchmarking thing work if your salary keeps increasing and then you have even more catching up to do? 32 YO and still under $100k in retirement help!

BCG people- how many people actually max out the full end year bonus? What's the more common expected end year % for associates? Thanks! I'm trying to weigh some options :)

With the new minimum salary laws in NYC, if you are a 1st year associate in the NYM at $60k, you make just $1500 more than what is legally allowed for a salaried employee. Pretty funny

25 with about $50k in 401k roth and $50k in pension. Changed jobs and nobody has given me any direction on best way to roll things over. 401k roth to my roth IRA? 401k to new 401k? Pension as lump sum or just leave it or roll into what?? Thanks for any help!!

As an SC going for Manager who wanted to jump ship, would you consider another Big4? If so, which one has comparable benefits and better work-life balance (I know, I know that’s probably unrealistic)?

Have a better offer from another big 4 but I dont feel confident enough to negotiate for a higher pay at my current firm (cont)

Has anyone taken the SHRM-SCP? Any study suggestions and impressions of the test?
