I’m on a closed work permit (that doesn’t give me temporary residency) that expires in summer 2021.
If I were to leave my current employer in December before receiving the work permit from my new employer, will I be deported? Can I still come back to Canada if I leave to see my family for the holidays because my work permit would technically not be expired?
