My advice is don’t.
I hate to burst your bubble, but your likelihood of success is only 5%. Most traders lose money. I’ve seen it with my own eyes. It seems like an exciting idea until you’re dealing with real money. Invest for the long term and focus on what you’re good at.

Do it once you have millions in your bank account. You will be profitable after several several years of trading so you need a big bank account to support all the money you will lose during your first years. Don’t get trapped into all tick tok influencers that make you believe trading is easy and money printer. Chances of things going south are not on your favor (probably 95% to 5%)
Ok thank you!!! so a day job is still a reasonable time investment 👍
You seem to be extremely wet behind the ears and you don’t have any capital to start….not a good situation to be in…my suggestion is to get a real job first, and learn more about trading without actually putting capital at risk. When you are ready, do it as a side gig and see how that goes. But honestly, it’s an uphill battle.
Try a Demo Account for as long as you feel confident, work on trading discipline, treat it as a business. Backtest, SAVE $$, find a strategy, forward test and Jump in with a good margin or edge.

Is your intention to be a “day trader” buying and selling the same day, or are you intending to invest full time, holding investments for various time frames? I agree with others that day-trading is probably not the best option, but buying and selling stocks and options can be profitable done correctly.
