My company went toxic in the last couple months. Chose me and started interviewing. Had a very successful interview with Amazon but recruiter is working hard trying to place me and said there’s no knowing how long to find a team. Wondering if anyone can provide rough comp estimates (base + bonus) for corp dev roles at the senior analyst / manager level in a HCOL city). My background is Manager with 6 YoE in B4 across FDD, turnaround / restructuring, and valuation.

I’ve spent 4 years in Big 4, with about half that time in FDD. I feel like Corp Dev is what I ultimately want, but am wondering if a stint in banking could be worth it. If I’m not interested in PE or other buyside alternatives, is the pit stop in IB worth it?
Mainly wonder if IB is a must have box to check, or if you can work your way up the ladder without.

I will be starting an FDD position in August right out of college. Do you think 3 years in this industry will provide enough relevant experience to make the switch to CD. I am also planning to get my CFA if that is at all relevant.
