I’m so confused by a recent job rejection. My interviews with the team went well, and the CEO even told me she couldn't wait to work with me. Then, out of nowhere, I got a generic rejection email. Today, I saw who they hired on LinkedIn, and she has about half my experience. They were hiring for two identical roles, so they had room for both of us. Why would a company do this? It's so frustrating.

I had my 3rd & final interview last Friday. My recruiter doesn’t communicate well nor does she let me communicate with the company direct. May I being led on? Am I still in the race for this role in your opinion with the details stated. Please message me if you would like to know more in detail.

Fast forward to last week, the talent POC calls me up and informs that she has asked the business if the position is still open, because now they just need the business approval to roll out the offer. I immediately felt demotivated as to ‘why now’ after all rounds have been cleared (continued in the comment below)

My husband repeatedly claims domestic abuse falsely, and it’s getting too much. Now that I have kids he has started saying this to them and they say it back to me. I think he does this because he wants custody of kids or an upper hand when it comes to finances if we end up divorcing. Any ideas on how to handle this

I just accepted an offer in writing. The new job will start the background check next which I’ve been told it may take a while to complete. My start date at the new job isn’t until 2023 so there is some time for me to turn in my notice. I don’t anticipate any hiccups in the background check but is it wise to wait until the background check is complete before turning in my notice?
