As a realtor, how do I find better commissions? The office I work in has only offered me low-tier listings, and they bring zero to none commission. I want to change that but don't know where to start. Any advice?

Yep, we've all been there on the low end of the salary range. Every agent I know has questioned several times in their life whether or not they should stay in the business. It's feast or famine. Just hang in there and learn everything you can, find out if one of your officemates who has been there longer would be okay with you accompanying them to a few open houses without getting paid for it. What you are able to learn by watching them interact with sellers and potential buyers will be well worth your time and the team leads will eventually take notice when you continue to show initiative

In my agency I can obtain higher commissions by capturing properties on my own in expensive areas. I think you can consult with your superiors the commission table to know which way to take that is more profitable for you.

Curious to know what you've seen as working to non working dollars split in Canadian agencies. Reference any specific brands (or categories) if you can.
