Thinking about a cheaper watch for vacations, working outside, general beater. I only have nice dress watches so I don't ever wear them to the pool/beach/etc.

Probably automatic, less than 1k, reasonably waterproof. Currently looking at Seiko divers but curious what people's favorites are.

I’ve seen Hamilton being recommended for a lower cost watch. Just seen there is a sale at Nordstrom on a lot of their models for anyone interested. May not be the newest range but could be some good finds in there.
