I’m trying to understand the rationale behind a specific company’s divestment. Anyone here with experience who could share how to dig into that kind of info?

Probably would fall in one of these buckets: 1) non-core asset, not tied to broader strategy, 2) financial profile not attractive (dilutive to growth or margin, or other metrics key to valuation), 3) regulatory-driven, whether tied to an acquisition or potential litigation / legal risk in a space, 4) funding other organic / inorganic capital needs

Information available to investors through press release, quarterly or annula reports. Check in the Strategy section. Employees in that particular team - if you'd like to take that risk

Press release is a good starting point, but it's obviously buttoned up statement to make the company look good. You have to read between the lines, corroborate with other data to get the full story.

Anyone switch companies and either regret it or are glad they did?

Thanks!
