I'm serving Notice period and last date shall be 13th May 2022. Can someone help me understand if the bands and compensation isn't release by that date, will that be adjusted in full and final settlement?? If so, what about the components, which all shall be credited in that FFS?
Thanks in advance.

IB route has a higher career earning potential and better outlook to PE or other areas in finance.
You’d be stupid not to do the IB
I would not listen to the folks telling you to blindly jump to a boutique IB. You have two years of experience, it’s time to evaluate what you want to do (which is obviously what you’re doing). In another two years at A&M you’ll be around $160k TC, 4 years ~$220k+ TC. Will that Ibank match that compensation? Maybe? Will your hourly rate be aligned? Absolutely not. In TAS you’ll have way better WLB every step of the way. You’ll also have different exit opportunities to consider. At a boutique ibank your exit opportunities are not that great (use LinkedIn to research old employees). At A&M you’ll have similar exits as any Big4 in addition to career progression (which is arguably more important than compensation at your level).
@EY 1 Very good points. Appreciate you sharing.

I second what C1 said, but why not at the Big4 you’re at?

Sorry I mean why not CorpFin at the B4 you’re at, it’s MM IB - I’d say better brand and exits than a small boutique.
After interviewing for the past 3 months at 5 different investment banks, each company had one obvious theme: constant work and stress. Although comp was great and made up for it, I didn’t see myself wanting to work long hours and missing out on life (time cannot be bought back, once it’s gone, it’s gone for good). I just put in my 2 weeks notice and leaving FDD to go to industry to do global strategy at a fin tech firm instead. Long term path is now FAANG, which pays comparable or more than IB with better work life balance.
Hey EY1, sure however there isn’t much for me to say in terms of how to break into strategy. Its a fortune 150 firm, I saw the job on LinkedIn, interviewed, and got the offer. It had a case study component but wasn’t too hard considering the work we do in FDD closely aligned with the data analysis they do in the role.
For background, I currently have 2 YOE in FDD at a Big 4. Would appreciate some opinions on the pros and cons and hoping to get some perspectives I haven't considered myself yet.
Which city are the two roles at? What is your background? What are potential exit opportunities?
I think it really depends on your ultimate goal. I wouldn’t always follow the money - follow what makes you happiest!
Location tier? I'd choose first option like some suggest!
