Totally get this. Mid-30s can feel like that moment when the career treadmill speeds up and asks: Is this where you want to be forever? I’ve seen friends pivot from law to UX, from engineering to coaching, from finance to design—and it can work, especially when it’s values-driven. You don’t have to blow everything up. Sometimes it’s just about finding a new lane where your past experience adds leverage instead of baggage.
A couple worker of mine one day just said he done. Heard that he went on to coach his kids baseball team. I wouldn't worry about it, this seems like its pretty normal.and common.
Definitely. Many people pivot successfully in their 30s, 40s, and beyond. Especially when they can show transferable skills and a clear story for why the change makes sense. Age isn’t a barrier; clarity and impact are.
