Which practice group (m&a, capital markets, or funds) would be best for someone who genuinely doesn’t care about this job/law but wants to stay in biglaw (NYC) as long as possible? Some folks say m&a is more “intellectually stimulating” and I wonder, for that reason, perhaps capital markets might suit me? I lateraled into a niche practice group in Sept 2021. I also have a 1 year old and have been mostly remote since I started - but have been keeping busy tracking towards 2400-2500 hours. That said getting to know people only remote has been kind of awkward at times (email only can be tough to decipher) although as a working mom the pros vastly outweigh the cons. I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

Well its been about a year since I picked up the game and went from a 30+ handicap to an 8 handicap. All I can say is, we just scratched the surface! Im totally hooked and love golf so much. Were any of you able to dramatically improve over the pandemic?

Curious to get some input: looking into a golf getaway for my birthday in late February and really honing in on either Kiawah or Pinehurst.

6 months pregnant and shot a 94 over the weekend - I haven’t played that well since high school! Had to share with some folks who might appreciate it - husband shot one of the worst rounds of his life, so I can’t revel in the accomplishment with him. 😆🏌🏻‍♀️
